Food Stamps at Farmers Markets

Great Article in the Post-Gazette today about food stamps at the Washington Farmers Market.  Farmers@Firehouse plans to begin accepting food stamps and debit cards on a market wide basis in the coming month or so!

Ya I agree with you that the idea of helping food assistance dollars toward buying local produce has widespread support, yet making it happen has been a challenge.
